Why are you asking questions like this?SB doesn't need my comment to add credibility to his question, but FWIW I've had the same one for some time now....

I wouldn't put too much info out there until GB answers SB's and SOTB's questions.

About the static jumps, well just curious cuz i want to know what is the maximum jump a Marine has to do before sending to freefall school. Reason of making sure the Marine is confidence enough in static jumps that by the time he goes to freefall, to make sure he makes the course.

One of my previous posts was about a Recon staying in Recon units. I made that thread cuz the Marine Corps spent money training this Marines and after they reach certain years or rank, they get orders to other units that are not recon.

I am just an 0311 who spent 4 years in the Corps that wish i am still in cuz i miss being an 0311 Marine. Just curious about the other aspects of the Corps concerning the 0300 field.

It's fine to be curious but you're asking questions that really have no bearing on how things are done.

Marines stay in Recon cradle to grave if they want. That was explained in the other thread.

Static line jumping has nothing to do with MFF other than both are executed from an A/C while it's in flight. The rule, IMO, is just a hangover rule from years gone by.

But -- and please don't take this as an accusation -- your questions sorta appear as if they have a motive. Such as, and bear with me, that you were then going to utilize this info perhaps in a story that you were relating to someone else. They are just such niche questions and of the detail that one wonders if they aren't being planned for posing. In advance, and as I mentioned above -- this is NOT an accusation -- just relating why I think your questions are strange.Static line jumping has nothing to do with MFF other than both are executed from an A/C while it's in flight. In my day (1985) -- and this is only from memory and even then, word of mouth (I saw nothing in writing that I recall) -- the number of SL jumps required prior to attending MFF was higher than the basic 5 from Basic Airborne. But it doesn't matter, MFF has ZERO to do with SL, and successful accelerated FF students all over the world are proof of it....

Well... DBSL uses the MMPS, and as such you need to have went to MMPC to jump the DBSL rig. vague enough?

No worries about the accusation. I don't have any motives relating a story telling someone when asking questions here. Its just my curiosity. Even my ex told me back then i should be an investigator since i like to ask a lot of questions.

I did the same thing after posting to see how easy it would be to find either of the 3 acronyms and only the one was readily available. But I suppose if someone was interested in using the info for malicious purposes, and was resourceful enough, they should be able to get that information anyways.
