UDT check

One of my suitemates freshmen year told me his father used to be a UDT. Never doubted him but I thought I'd check just in case. The name would be David A. Thompson, my guess is sometime in the 1960's.

David Alan Thompson graduated from BUD/S in 1967 and served with UDT 12 and ST 1. He would be in his early to mid-50's right now.

hmmm... the age is right, but the middle name, as far as I know, is Arnold. Are there any hits under that name? Also, I was told that he only served for a little over a year in the Teams, kicked out for cheating on an eye exam. I'd hate to think this guy is a fake, but I'd appreciate it if you could just give it one more shot. I hope I'm not being too bothersome.

There's a chance I could have the wrong middle name on my database. There is only one "David Thompson" listed. Also, the database lists BUD/S and UDTRA graduates, and one or more duty assignments, but not how long a guy served on active duty.
