BOP

Anyone have any experience with getting realeased from a BOP? AFPC told me a few months ago that i was good to go once i got my 5 lvl in CATM, today the tell me i will not be able to submit for CCT until july of FY12 because im in a BOP. A SOWT Capt i recently met told me to contact the Career Field Manager for CCT but can i just email him? Kinda wry about emailng a very busy chief and asking for help. Any input is appreciated.

You'll have to write an Exception to Policy Letter to AFPC stating why it would be in the USAF's best interest to release you from your BOP. My recommendation and what i did; email the CFM for CCT and ask him for advice on how to word the letter. It will contain a lot of shit about current manning levels and requirements. I'm sure the Chief will be able to help you out...bottom line is CCT needs good dudes, and my guess is that they need CCT guys more than CATM guys. Good luck man.

Absolutely, in out shop of 15 instructors we have 13 Staffs. I dont think it will be a problem to get released.
