GorGrp-still kicking?

I've noticed over the past couple of days that there has been ads up on a couple of security-related and security recruitment websites for GorGrp hiring medics again.

Is that company still around? If so, has anyone worked with them within the past 2 years?

I was under the impression they did the whole 'crash and burn' bit a couple of years ago with unhappy workers, unhappy client and issues with pay. I've even looked up their site (yes, it's still up) and they haven't updated it since Sept. 2009. As a matter of fact, it is, word for word, the same employment listing that they have on their site.

Maybe they're trying to make a come back and are shamelessly plugging themselves on different forums? Any input?

They are still around. They are closing down their contract in Iraq as a lot of the DOD contracts come to close or get scaled back. They are bidding on contrcats like everyone else...we will see. You ever work them? Just curious...maybe we crossed paths along the way. I have worked for them a couple of times and go back to them when I need build up the bank account for school.

As for the unhappy workers, clients, issues with pay thing...I can say they always treated me right, always had my money on time and client never seemed to have a problem that I knew of. Workers...LOL, well they are always someone that is unhappy.

Just as an update...I checked with one the Ops people today at GorGrp...he said they did not have any major openings. Someone used one of those viral feedburner sites to copy and blast out the request. He said they normally recieved enough CVs to fill the continuing need for people, but in the last 4 days they have recieved over 500 CVs. Mixed blessings, I am glad that there are those sites out there, but I wish they would not search for jobs to post and wait for the companies to post jobs them. Oh well... hope this helps.

That is kind of interesting. I didn't know there were that many medics looking for jobs.

I finished a RMP program with them over a year ago and enjoyed it. I know they are still around and are teaching programs overseas but dont know if they are hiring. I can say that I have had a positive experience. :smile:
