A friend told me this was DEA FAST. Pretty cool op to capture this major shit-head. FAST is DEA's version of Ground Branch.

No it isn't. Not close. Different skill sets and backgrounds.
and you failed to post an introduction and came on here and posted something "a friend" told you.
Not a good start.

Allow me to apologize; I've never found myself on a website like this where you post things, please forgive my ignorance and lack of etiquette for not posting an introduction.
As for verifying if the op was FAST or not, I can't verify it, not on an open site like this.
Either way, I was just posting a good/relevant "international story" that I thought the message board would like to see and or discuss. Good pop for US efforts and for US border security.
As for FAST having different background than GB guys, don't know what to say there. Everyone has different backgrounds. GB guys can come from infantry, artillary or any/all of the color spectrums; in turn, they frequently have different backgrounds themselves. I have worked with FAST overseas on several tours and a lot of them come from SOF backgrounds, some even tier 1. But you are correct, different missions, different directives etc. However, they do both conduct paramilitary operations and both are not dod. That's all I was trying to express in a short abbreviated post.
My apologizies again.

Pull back to the main forum page and go to the top and jump into the main intro thread -- put up an intro, and you're done.
Then I think you'll see a different reception from people -- but you gotta do your part first....

I sent him a PM at 18:21 SOCNET time telling him the same thing. He still seemed to be connected for what seemed to be a few minutes thereafter.
Perhaps he doesn't think the intro post to be important.

Post.
You don't know what you're talking about.
I also note you first wrote a "friend" told you about the DEA guys and now you post you "worked" with them on "several" tours. We really don't have time to sort through what is the truth and what isn't. Either way you have no idea, and bringing up a comparison like this, for the world to see, is childish. Plenty of sites that encourage it, we don't. Go join one of them.
