Winter vs. Summer Seals

Just curious as to whether the dropout rate is higher for BUD/s during the winter months than during the summer months. I.e. say Feb vs. July.

When I was at BUD/S I was in one of the class rooms and saw a banner of a graduated winter class it had about 12..15 at the most. As opposed to about 25-30 in the summer. I know the warmer the water is(if you consider 58 warm) the longer the trainees have to sit in it.

I did hell week support for 223 and theirs was during the winter. I had to wear a flak jacket just to stand tent watch. I know that they were freezing, but the ones that did make it were pretty hard. I mean hypin out on swims freaked out a lot of people also.
