Howdy!

Greetings from Singapore.

My name's Tim and I was in the Combat Field Engineers for 2 years, 90 to 93, as an E5. Did loads of Bridging, Sapper Work, Field Fortifications, Demolition and Clearances and had a really good time.

Speaking of which, there's no problem that can't be solved with the right paperwork and some C4.

Right now, I'm an Active Reserves Combat Field Engineer, with the same unit, with another 7 years to go.

I hope to exchange/share some EOD ideas, where legal, sometime soon.

Stay safe all.

Welcome! I was just on the singapore army's website the other day, reading a little about your program, it seems that your EOD system is pretty similar to the British. Do you guys get to train with the Brits alot? It's great to have you here!

Hallo Felix,

Pleased to meet ya too! And no we don't cross trained with the Brit Army anymore. Although, the Singapore Armed Forces training system was based using the British system. Hence the similarities.

Even the gear and equipment is based on Brit designs, but with a more modern touch. Now most lifers and active personnel are using a Web Harness based on the Israeli IDF mod.
