Recruiting

Just wonder how other units out there are doing when it comes to BMQ (QL2) numbers. I guess my battalion has about 30 something on course. Theres about 20 in my platoon and theres a possibility of 15 more in the next few days if they can get their medicals done.

My unit's been doing pretty good for recruiting in the past year (ok, we ended up with Disturbance, so the process ain't perfect yet...)

Not quite those kinds of numbers tho. Apparently, there's unusually high interest in RMS clerk positions. The unit's growing steadily, but we still had some noticeable post-QL3 attrition. There's always lots of guys in the pipe, but it never translates into proportionate results on the Armoury Floor.

I'm hoping Afghanistan or Blackhawk Down will help recruiting... Maybe if we pose in Pro-Tec helmets and black body armour for our recruiting posters people would join...

In an overall sense, I think the CF has done a bad job of marketing itself. Maybe it's a lack of money, but we can't seem to create/present a positive marketable image.
