I would really appriciate it if anyone can tell me if it is possible to get into any spec ops units with vision corrected to 20/30. I can't seem to get a straight answer from my recruiter. thanx

You cant get into navy special operations if your not correctable to 20/20. Furthermore, your uncorrected vision must be 20/40 or better in one eye and 20/70 or better in the other. Those are the guidelines for SEALs. Try Army special operations, they give a little more room for error. However, if you really want to be a SEAL, the navy just recently accepted certain vision correction surgeries for dive candidates and recruits entering the navy. They are now only accepting PRK since RK was considered causing more problems than fixing due to the unstability of intraoccular pressure it left behind. I personnally prefer LASIK since it's better than PRK but this procedure is currently being researched. I hope this helps any. And if anyone says different they're wrong. Physical exams and waviers for qualifying for programs is just one of the many things I'm expected to know as a RECON Corpsman. Good luck in what ever you do.

what about eyeglass? Were there ever SEALs with eyeglass?
