Need some help for a brother who is looking for LE work in the Dallas, TX area. His wife just got a job down there which was too good to pass up. She has already moved down and he is now looking for a job to get down there with her. He is a rookie with our department, but has been very good. He is a former Army light wheeled vehicle mechanic, so he is an Army and LE brother. His Sergeant (who is a senior member of our SWAT team) highly recommends him.

I would really like to help him out. So those of you in Texas or who know something about Texas LE please lend a helping hand to get him reunited with his wife and family.

He needs to know everything and anything about it. Thanks in advance.

Hey SWAT1 what part of Oregon are you in?
I visit your state on vacation every year and attended a NRA patrol rifle course in Grants Pass Oct. 2000.
We usually visit the eastern side... John Day, Sumpter, Baker City, but have been known to visit the wet side of the Cascades.
Yamhill, Sisters, Eugene... Before it filled up with liberals/environmenatlists.

I didn't forget about you, just had to go to bed for the day. I talked to my bro in DPD and he gave me some suggestions for your officer. I'll e-mail you today after work. Stay safe.

A bud of mine at Dallas PD says they're hurting for quality people still. It sounds like Frisco PD is the shit in that area as far as growth and opportunity goes. www.officer.com (employment page) should help some.

Yep, DPD is hurting for officers. Six just left for the Air Marshals and another 20 have apps in with them alone. The little communities just north of the metroplex pay better so I'd try there first.

And Tracy's almost correct... it's BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM HALT! :D
