I might be wrong but I think that the PJ's and CCT's go to the same school. Their websites might have links or info that can help you.

PJs and CCT do not attend this school. You are thinking of the SF Combat divers school and the one Guy is referring to is a different animal.

Thank you for your replies.
What is the difference between combat swimmer and combat diver?? I think when I posted my first question I was thinking of the combat divers.
Thanks again

Combat Swimmer is more in line with what Guy is describing; water infil techniques and the like typically taking place relatively close to shore. The Marines also run their version Scout Swimmer course on both coasts.

Combat Diver is the SF Scuba school. Much more in depth and detailed. PJs and CCTs attend that one as well. Someone please elaborate or clarify if I'm wrong.

Guy, do you know if they are still running the course you referenced in Key West (or some derivation thereof)?

Yes, CCT/PJ go through Key West (CDQC). I'm a CCT and graduated long ago. As far as WIC, I graduated from that too, in 94. I believe they don't have that class anymore, but the NSW run a Long Range Maritime Course out at San Diego. SCUBA is a requirement for our MOS/AFSC, if you don't pass CDQC...you're not going to be a CCT/PJ.

And that was the point of CCT/PJ pre-scuba class - to make sure everyone can pass.
