Why is SEAL team 6 referred to as "The Jedi Knights"?

SEAL Team Six does not exist anymore.

Actually I've heard the term "Jedi Knights" used today like they used to use the term "snake eaters" and such for spec ops forces back in the 60's and 70's. SEAL Team 6 changed their name last year wasn't it to Dev Group?

ST6 was decommissioned in 1989(hearsay).

That said, join the Navy and you'll hear plenty of rumors that'll give you a more complete story.

(OPSEC Nazi. NO INFO FOR YOU!!)

"Jedi Knights" is simply a term of respect...respect for the skills of the operators and for the impossible training they endure. Top operators seem almost magical when in action, guided my the surety of motion that is gained by thousands and thousands of practice/training. Guided by the "force."

NOW, Please lay off the topic, Tucks. OPSEC precludes anyone who knows what they are talking about from posting anyway...

THOSE INTERESTED IN SEAL TEAM SIX(OR SEALs IN GENERAL) MAY ENJOY READING "Combat Swimmer-Memoirs of a Navy Seal," IT WAS WRITTEN BY Capt. Robert A. Gormly A NAVY SEAL THROUGHT VIETNAM, KOREA, GRENADA AND DESERTSHIELD/STORM. HE ALSO TOOK COMMAND OF SEAL TEAM SIX AFTER MARCINKO WAS "PROPERLY" RELIEVED. HE TALKS ABOUT SIX BOTH BEFORE AND AFTER HE LEFT(NOT TO MENTION WHILE HE WAS THERE.)

IT IS A GOOD BIT OF HISTORY ESPECIALL IF YOU WANNA BE AN OPERATOR.

... Ah yes an "Orr Kelly" novel, or perhaps a Tony Robbins 20-part vidio casette series? Listen up buffoons! The lad was merely looking for historical data! No need to shit on him! If your that pissed why not:
(1) Purchase a hamster.
(2) Purchase small hammer
(3) Tap hamster till dead.
(4) Yee-haw, woody time!
(5) Cut the guy some slack!

Ewww . . . I know you're joking about the hamster thing but stop. Man, there is nothing worse than people who do that to animals . . . they rate lower than rapist and murders with me cause at least humans can defend themselves. Poor wittle snugly wugly animals. Man, there must be something wrong with me if killing humans disturbs me far, FAR less than killing animals. [INSERT A BUNCHA TOUGH COMENTS HERE TO NEGATE ALL ABOVE] :-)

scince we all seem to get off the topic ... can you really blame women for getting moody during PMS? I would get moody too if my pal down there started to bleed every month.
