View Full Version : LBVs
What's proving most useful in Afghanistan, since I may find myself
over there in a few months? LBVs, LBEs, chest rigs like the RACK?
3 color desert, tan, plain old green?
Thanks

Not being a smartass here, but I think the folks to best answer that are over there right now. They will know what you need and can probably get it somehow....

Scout,
I cannot answer this one either as my unit did not deploy but below is a link I found with a great photo gallery of Spec. Ops troops in Afghanistan. Take a look and see what the guys are wearing and maby that will help you a little.

I got a question, does anyone (JY) know what the guys are using to camo thier rifles (SF in the Phill. pct.) . Not that I have a practical reason to camo my AR as the cyotes dont seem to care what color it is. But hey, I need a new project anyway.

dragon,
most of the pics I've seen, they've spray painted their rifles. you might want to search through the sniper forums for info on the kinds of paints to use, I think it's been mentioned there once or twice

Bow-flage (sp?) which can be found at sporting goods stores. There was a thread around here about it (I think, it could've been another board).

Ok, I'll ask this then. My experience is limited to LBEs andvery briefly, the old style LBVs--the curse of being Guard. You guys who've got more experience with the good stuff, what do you prefer, the chest rigs or LBVs? Best in regards to comfort, weight, accessability, etc.
Thanks

Hey guys, I followed the link with the pictures on it, and do you remember that one delta guy...if you look at picture "delta #11", he looks like that guy off of combat missions, I don't know if I am being wierd or not (I have gotten a lot of sun lately) but I just like to bring that up.
