Hey Doc42, how goes it?......just curious, have you guys had alot of feedback from the medic's overseas? How is their gear holding up? Is their anything they found that they needed and didn't initially have? Are they using any synthetic blood products? successfully? How 'bout the new fibrin bandage? Any actual trials with it? Are the guys issued or using the FAST 1? Are they seeing alot of particular sick-call type patients?......just curious. I have heard some feedback on weapon systems and none about gear in this area.....thanks for any info/news.

Yes I've got several AAR's.

Reports say to go light with the gear on Ops. Come up with a good medevac plan and make a practice run with it beforehand.

We've been using whole blood and packed cells.

We're using the fibrin bandage. Reports on it are good.

95% of the Medicine practiced is Preventive Medicine. Get familiar with the critters in the AO and plan their demise beforehand too.

Take care.
