When I drive from Virginia to Georgia down I-95 I always pass a billboard advertising this museum in Fayetteville. Has anyone on this board been there? Is it worth a stop to check out?

There is an excellent museum at Ft. Campbell, also--the 101st Airborne Museum. It's got everything you can imagine. If you get a chance, sit inside their f*&%ed up Waco Glider and picture yourself gliding into an assault. The glider troops definitely has some big brass ones! There is also a section dedicated to the evolution of TF-160.

Have they still got the mock up of the MH-6 hanging from the ceiling at the 101st Museum at Ft. Campbell? The wall of names for the 101st soldiers that passed away in Gander was memorable. Overall a great museum.

I've been to the one in Ft. Campbell and it's real HooAh...

If you are ever in Indianapolis, IN check out the World War Memorial Museum, the Medal of Honor Memorial, U.S.S. Indianapolis Memorial & the Korean War / Vietnam War Memorials. They are within walking distance from one another, right downtown.

The World War Memorial Museum is something that any Vet would love to see... You'll spend all day in that museum!

Agree with T86 - the 101st Museum (I think it is the "Pratt Museum", officially - no?), is definately worth a visit if you are visiting Campbell. The videos of the 160th that play constantly, and the Little Bird hanging from the roof are items you won't see too many places.

The museum is worth is visiting . I live in Fayetteville and have enjoyed visiting the museum. There will be an added attraction soon and the dedication will be on May 26 2001. The Cumberland County Vietnam Memorial. It will be located on the corner of Hay St and Bragg Blvd right beside the museum.

The 82d Abn Div Museum and the Special Warfare Museum at Fort Bragg are/were good!

I haven't seen the renovated Special Warfare Museum, but, plan to during the SFA convention that will be held there next year (50th Anniversary of US Army Special Forces).

I was also impressed by the "Nick" Rowe display of him in a tiger cage.
