Anyone out there know this guy?

He is over on specialforces.net looking for a company to hire him and his "team" with the SF motto as his signature.

Just curious to know if he is legit...

I was wondering about that guy myself Wolf. I don't think he will get many replies. The name is similar to an old SGM I recall from 10th this does not look like his MO.

Roger...
It just seems odd. An SF SGM should be smarter than to post anything remotely relating to mercenary activities on a public BB. I will withhold judgement though and see if anyone here knows him.

That's not the 'Raborn' I'm familiar with either. I looked at the web site and it smells like B.S. to me.

You may want to revisit that Tracy when you have the time. You have tons more time in Group than I so you may know something I don't. Special assignment in Central America from the "agency" to 1st Special Forces, 5th Group?? Ahem Ahem.

Guy, Tracy and E18D,

I joined the listserver on SF.net and posted the following to SGM Raborn...

SGM Raborn,
Soliciting business on a public message board for your "services" raises serious questions about your credibility.

1. Your bonafides are suspect. Central America was the Domain of 7th group in the 80's what made you so unique that you were on Special Assignment for the "Agency"?
2.Why would a retired SF SGM need to solicit business out in the open if he had "Agency" experiance?
3.My old CSM George C Conrad is in "the business here in the US and he works "overseas" for private contractors on behalf of the US Government. Why are you in South Africa? There is plenty of this kind of work here...
4. If you are real I mean no disrespect however, the fact that you are doing this blind leads me to question your posting here. Please explain in DETAIL. No need for the cloak and dagger phraseology... plain and simple facts will suffice.

Here is "SGM Raborn's" reply:

"There is always room for worry and deception,if you choose not to believe what you read, that is your right. As far as breaking down all the facts,in the open would
not be very smart, and so the question is why
are you so concern with certainly what could be considered classified info:First we try, then we trust.Take care.God speed:
Later,

SGM Raborn"

Opinions?

I am not SF, just curious, so I will sit back and listen to the qualifed individuals speak on this one.

I have never heard anyone who has been in SF describe a Grp. using 1st Special Special Forces and then the Grp number.

When is the last time the 5th was in Central
America?

I submit the your wannabe spyguy ambiguity is based on the plain and simple fact you are full of **** "SGM" Raborn. You could easily answer my questions and to do so would establish your bonafides. Instead of answering the questions like most posers you claim OPSEC when it means not being caught in a lie. No one I know (including quite a few REAL SF CSM'S) speaks the way you do so may I suggest you go back to the dive bar you slimed out of ...

No,I am not going to expose certain names and issues to the world like you did for your
so called friend in the other board.I do not have to prove anything to anybody, the other
soldier asked a question and I answered.I
hope you didin't endanger anybody with your

Ahem..."SGM" Raborn,
I submit that is because you are a liar...

You are not an SF SGM... You never were in the Special Forces ( hint you don't even have a clue how to say what unit you where in or even your own area of operations)and you're just basically full of it.

Now Son... I have this little "hobby"... My "hobby" is to expose liars... wannabes... and fakes such as yourself. I have just become really interested in you and too bad for you I have quite a few poser scalps on my walking stick.
If you want to continue your BS charade well hey...Don't say I did not warn you...

"First we try, then we trust"?? WTF,O? This bastard's quoting a bad Sean Connery movie now? That on it's own should prove he's lying.

I'll bet he's not "fuck(ing) the prom queen" either.

I just posted over on the sf.net: "Posers and Protection".

I lit up both the bodyguard recruitment and Raborn simultaneously.

Let's see what that coughs up...

Tracy and gang,

looks like the Raborn thread has been removed. I may give it a day and then find out why. Good Post on SFnet Tracy thanks. Also thanks to Wolf for exposing this guy.
