View Full Version : One tough little bastard
Check out this link:http://www.goarmy.com/chat/casper.htm. This guy lists Recondo School in his bio but he's only 38! AS far as I know Recondo ceased to exist 12/31/70. Also I believe you would have had to be deployed to Nha Trang, Republic of Vietnam in order to attend the course. He neglects to mention a deployment to Vietnam in the bio. Not surprising since he would have had to have been the most bad-ass 8-year old to have ever lived. He also lists SCUBA School but no reference to being in a Ranger Bat or SF. Highly unlikely. And this guy represents the Army? I would like some feedback in case I'm wrong before I fire off an e-mail to his boss.

I didn't see a SCUBA listing. I did see a master "Driver" school.

82d Abn had a Recondo school at Bragg. It closed sometime around 84-85.
It says that he attended Scuba School but no badge is listed. Combat Diver isn't the only diving slot in the Army. I believe 00B is the MOS designator for Diver. Probably attended the hardhat course in Virginia?? and washed out (pun intended).

I believe the MA national guard or one of their army reserve commands used to have a Recondo school a couple years ago.

I attended Recondo School Course 8-80 at Ft Bragg, NC. It was an 18th ABN Corps school.
