SF has used a version of the Land Wariror System for decades:
Mark 1, Mod 0 Eyeball.
Map.
Compass.
Good Planning.
Better Rehearsals.
Situation Awareness.
Mental and Physical Agiity.
A desire to be better than anyone else.
The SF system has fewer moving parts, less maintenance, and a very high MTBF rating (mean time between failure).

UP Date on:
The MK-1 Mod 0's used decades ago are beginning to:
1. Have problems getting some of those parts moving.
2. Require more frequent maintenance.
3. Forget to go to rehersal.
4. Loose agility.
5. Realize they are currently not as good as the current models
6. Realize that they don't look as good in UDT shorts as they once did.
