I have found plenty of informaiton on proper PT on various SEAL sites, especially the US Navy's www.sealchallenge.com. (http://www.sealchallenge.com.) However, one thing that they stress is "proper stretching" on days that you don't do PT. My only problem is that I don't know enought about stretching to fill the recommended 20 min time.
If anyone has some recommendations as to what stretches to perform, how to do them, for how long, etc. that would be excellent. Thanks to all, this is a really great group.

You should do stretching every day (God I feel like a hypocrite saying that) personally I don't stretch as much as I should but you really just need to stick to the basics...extended leg reach, butterfly, ITB stretch hurdlers, standing floor touch snakes, cross arm stretches stuff like that...a 10 or 15 count should be fine but if you wanna do it a little longer thats fine...there is no limit on time to do them
ebbertt,
Nissans correct. There's all kinds of stretching you can do. Only thing I'd add to that is do *not* bounce when you stretch. That can lead to injuries real quick. Go slow and deliberate.
Take care and be safe.

Some people stretched after they finished running since the muscle are warm and easy to strectch, as opposed to before you run. Another thing is to jog for 5 minutes to warm up and then strectch.
