I remember an article on haaretzdaily.com , that there was some kind of an investigation and the results of that investigation lead to the arrests of several people.
Now they said that a man was arrested because he gave details about top secret operations to one of the sites (they said, that while he was in the army, he wrote reports about operations and so on). They didn't say to which site he gave this details but I think they had isayeret.com in mind. If I remember correctly he got 35 months in prison.
Other people were also arrested and if I remember correctly this investigation included also IDF computer department.
There was also a topic on another site which is frequently populated with Israelis about this:

Thank you.

HI Silent_w
I only read your post today and missed the weekend paper, i'll try get hold of it on monday and let you know whats going on.
Personally, i enjoyed isayeret buty i strongly feel that there was way too much info available there. As much as i enjoyed it, the complete site should be taken down.

the maker of the site was arrested interogated. at face value, he broke some security rules, and is likely to face charges.
this comes after the arrest of a sgt. in Maglan that delivered some classiefied data to this person.
this sgt. was prosecuted and is now in jail.
as it seems, although they cant close the site, as its on american server, they are gonna make sure he wont edit the site anytime soon............
as always, they close tha stables after the horse had run.........

Yes I agree there was too much information on the www.isayeret.com site and I totally agree with the arrests and the shut down of the site.
What really concerns me is the unprofessional behaviour of the Sgt. in Sayeret Maglan, because being an operator or ex-operator he should know what he should say or shouldn't say...
I thought IDF puts much more focus on this issues, like OPSEC and other security considerations and I think it is about time to correct this mistakes and correct them quickly.
Now about the site has anybody notices the unblured faces of the operators? I think that the site administrator should know that he can't just put a picture of an SF Unit operator to a site, without his (operators) permission or he should at least blur their faces. Also amount the information about specific Units is extensive and I think the Sgt. from Sayeret Maglan is not the only operator who put sensitive information to that site and I think the remaining people behind this should be tracked and punished.
I have never served in any armed forces but even I know that some things shouldn't be said, not to say published or put on the internet site, especially since also the bad guys use internet this days.
