If I may inquire, what system of Martial Arts is taught to train SF Commandos in hand-to-hand combat? And when Commandos learn hand-to-hand combat, do they learn it in the SFQC phase?

wrong forum, check fieldcraft/specialties, and post there.
but, since im writing a reply, i might as well just answer. i have no experience in the military, so i cant tell you for sure, but i read the army's h2h combat manual online(saw it in another thread on socnet), and i read through the entire thing. i am learning Jujutsu, and a combination of other arts, like Aikido, Karate..., and i can tell you that ALL of the techniques in the Army's manual are almost exactly the SAME as the techniques that ive learned. whats strange is that ive only been learning jujutsu for 3 weeks, and we have already covered ALL the material in that manual, plus MORE. granted, what is taught in the manual is highly effective, but it is just not very advanced.

None. No system at all. Hand-to-Gland training depends more on the style the instructor knows and his professionalism; versus effectiveness of the martial art.
Keep in mind, Soldiers and Marines don't need that much H2H to begin with. Because in a fight to the death, it's ballistics not balled fists that decide the outcome.
Grunts need a system that is simple to learn has a few effective techniques and gets the job done when a less-lethal option is called for. Krav Maga appears to be one answer, maybe there's others.
Watch, this thread will now turn into another opinion survey of which martial art is best for SOF, Ninjas, Grunts, Cooks, Clerak and Truck Drivers...
And no, I don't have any experience in Krav Maga.
Oh Finboy, close this thread please.

Tracy, you mean with all your SF experience you never learned that the offical H2H system is the ancient art of "Ching Ching Pow"?
