Ghillie Suit

Ive been working on building my own ghillie suit, I used burlad and some brown material and a little camo material, I was thinking of using yarn as a cheap alternative to jute, what do you think?

I think you need to go over to Military.com and ask the real ghille suit builders there. Bye now.

First off you need far less Jute than you think.
Use some jute
take some stripped out para cord and tie in leaving ends long enough to tie natural veg to it.

The Jute is for shape not to be a ghillie monster with.

Natural veg will hide you.

Forget the yarn.

Also stick to light colors. Always easy to darken as needed but getting drak colors to match light places is a nightmare.
