I doubt he will be replying soon as most of 3 Bde are out playing in the sand ;)

I don't think you actually get a say in which Commando unit you are posted to.

http://www.royal-navy.mod.uk/static/pages/141.html will be of use to you.

I intend to have a bash at the Commando course after i've got the Degree i'm after.

Hi

Guys back again, the wonders of technology are amazing, just a reply to a few messages a uni sponsorship won't gurantee you a crack at anything. If you get uni sponsorship you still have to do a YO's course but to get the sponsorship you have to pass your POC and AIB.

With reference to Commando Unit Choices you are given trade talks as u fininsh basic along with these talks you make a selection of the units you would like to serve with, 1st choice 2nd Choice etc, it's pretty well recognised you are likely to get yer second choice in the end you could end up any where as all decision are reserved for the management.

I would like to go into details of how i am pposting messages but quite frankly i can't be arssed as it would'nt have any relevance to n e thing. Just assume i work with the help of fairies if that helps you sleep.

Hey mate, I know I'm late posting to this thread. I'm from the UK. Thanks for serving and protecting our country, you guys did a hell of a job in the Gulf and we're lucky to have such brave men like yourself. Glad you're back home and hope that you've enjoyed your pints and your roast dinners. When we saw the Marines returning home on the news, a lot of them said they were looking forward to a nice cold pint! ;)
Take care and stay safe.
