View Full Version : DIRECT ACTION?
Do the USAF CCTs conduct ambushes and Direct Action? I want to be in the best direct Action unit there is and I'm wondering if this might be it.

Nope, these guys, just like every other unit, has a specialization. DA is not it. Not to say that it would never be tasked to do so, but not as a primary mission. Read my reply to the post above for more.

Kinda like having neurosurgeons innoculate cattle, wouldnt it? They -might- get in on some DA during an airfield assault. When I was with the Eighty-Deuce, we conducted airfield seizures, and CCT guys (sometimes) were assigned to secure the tower and control areas. But raids and strikes? Nope, not as primary combatants, if they are on the ground, they are their to provide support (CAS, air-ground liason, etc) or as pathfinders.

Snake is dead-on. Make no mistake they are trained to deal with it, and to be able to get into anywhere using any means - but their reasons for getting their usually differ from those they are getting there with.
