I hope I am not being too intrusive, I realise this board is mostly for active members. However, I am hoping to find a active Army EOD tech that would be willing to give me some idea as to what EOD is like in the Army. I've been researching it for about three months now, the job itself, but it really doesn't help me get a perspective on what ARMY EOD is like. Mostly I have found generalities. I am also curious to find out, since I am female, what restrictions I may come upon in that field. I've been getting conflicting information about Army EOD school .. some say it is lateral and some say it is entry. Some say there is 10 weeks prior to Eglin, I guess as a weeding out process. I've found some posts on your board stating the 10 weeks isn't there anymore, but the posts seem older and I'm not sure. This board and it's posts have answered a lot of questions, and have actually increased my thirst for serving my country, you have a wonderful community. Mostly I guess I just want to know a little about the job itself from someone that has done it, and what if any parts of the job I would be left out of, or not allowed to do being I am female.
Thank you all in advance.
