No tobacco at Ranger School anymore

Word has come down the pipeline that there will be not tobacco at Ranger class 7-00. Looks like the Army is pulling no punches in its effort to erradicate every last thing that allows the Army to be fun/tolerable. Just so happens this will be my class. This also means that instructors wlll not be allowed to use tobacco either...so they will be frustrated also.
I personally do not use tobacco, but I believe that those who do should be left alone. Something was said about destruction of government property...sounds like the ills of this aministration has seeped into RTB.

I was a non-tobacco user till I was droning one day ( in Ranger School ) and someone put a huge chew of Redman in my mouth LOL. You will be going through the first REAL SUPER HARD Ranger School Class. LOL

If anyone decides to tell you that in your chain of command, just point them in the direction of the US Constitution. There is a thing called the 13th amendment in there that ends slavery (the ownership of another person). You are not governemnt property.

As a non-smoker I am selfishly delighted in this turn of events, but I do sympathise with the substance-dependants.
On the other hand, chewing tobacco should be a fine punishable by stoning. I came out of a Pensacola, Florida High School where it was commonplace. Gross, boys, just gross....
Plus, I'd really hate to be in that first class.....heh.

Another defeat for free market enterprise! When I attended HOOAH School I didn't chew either, however the RI's would not let us chew gum(considered it candy). I still loaded up on Skoal at the PX & used it to trade for chow. "Hey, how about $75 dollars for that Gorilla cookie?" Reply: "F#$K you, I can't eat $75 dollars!" Okay then how about a can of Skoal for it?" No reply just drooling & nodding the head yes. Aaah memories. Though I have to admit I chewed some of the wide awake weed myself to avoid those major minuses. RTB without chew, the world will never be the same!
