Don't quit at ANYTHING! Eyes and ears open. Mouth shut. DO NOT TALK SHIT TO ANYBODY! Not even off post because you have no idea who may be listening. By the time you've been there long enough to talk shit you won't need to. You dont have to be Einstein just don't quit. I was getting smoked one time just for General Purposes by my squad leader and CSM Jones came walking up. He asked my squad leader what kind of a ranger I was and my squad leader told him I was a rock. A long skinny rock, but a rock nonetheless that just would not fucking quit. And all that time I thought he didn't like me. What a compliment in front of the CSM!
