Degree from a foreign University..

I wonder, can I join the Army or other kinds of military, although I have a degree from a foreign University? I´m studying at the University of Norway, but I´m an American citizen.

I think as long as the University has the equivalent of being accredited it wouldn't matter.

It might raise some eyebrows when it comes time to get security clearance though. But I don't think it would stop you from getting one.

Make sure the amount of credits is equal to a U.S. degree (like 120 credits or more). Most European universities is 3 years unlike U.S. colleges/ universities (4 or more years). If your university is accreditied in Norway, you may want to provide an explanation. Check with the DAO at the U.S. embassy.
