I think (perhaps some of you do too)about how funny and sad in some ways, how many "pissing contests" there are on the various forums. I know some of you have your "predetermined" opinions on certain SpecOps. groups, and their so-called "toughness". That is your opinion-thats all. All the units, be it the PJ's, Special Forces, Rangers, SEALS, and yes even the Marines have specialties that are needed and that exsist for a reason.

Let's look at the obvious; Everyone does "combat diving", right?
The SEALS just happen to specialize in it. Everyone does the sneaky recon. stuff, right?
The "Jarheads" just happen to specialize in it. Everyone can do "combat rescue" missions to a point, right? The PJ's just happen to specialize in it. (Just for the record)----everybody has saved each others ass from harms way at least once!!

My point is; all the skilled operators out there are just that "skilled", and special in their own ways. All the military services "piggyback" off one another. Some SEALS go to "Kennedy" witch is a SF school. Some Marines attend Army Ranger school. The same applies to the PJ's and SF soldiers.
Hell, I even mentioned Coast Guard Rescue Swimmers in another forum. Some of them even attend the Marine "combat swimmer course" and Navy EGRESS school in Florida just for the skills. Every military service is part of a "BIGGER" team or unit called the ARMED FORCES of the USA. Although there is alot of "harmless" nitpicking and competitiveness between services, it is meant in that "big-brother", "little-sister" respect.
I would be led to believe that a PJ and a Marine or a SF soldier and a SEAL would much rather sit together, drink a Heinekens, and bullshit about war stories, rather than duke it out in some back alley somewhere. (I guess that would depend on how many Heinekens were dead by the end of the night)
It is the the simple fact that some services are "coined" with certain characteristics.
Such as Air Force "Zoomies" being softy's who don't like to get dirty.
Marines being sickened with the "BIG HEAD" "flat-top", "lifer" syndrom. The Army grunts unable to complete USMC basic-and that's why their in the Army, and Navy squids being tattood-fags in white uniforms. NONE of these negative phrases stand true. There intended for good team rivalry and nothing more. Everyone is entitled to an opinion----this was mine.

I fucking love getting mail, so how about some comments on my posts? Anyone care to share their dreaded OPINION?

First things first there stud. Lets hear your qualifications about where you've been there and done that and then your opinion might carry a little weight. I agree with most of what you've said although I might have said it a little different. Actually, most of the BTDT's here already are well aware of everything that you've said and the others probably don't give a damn so I guess the biggest question is, Whats your point?
