But what if folks actually started reading the site before asking questions? "What do Rangers do?" "Who's better Marine Infantry or Rangers?" C'mon! Give me a break! There's several months of old threads that can be read through and quite possibly contain answers to the very questions that one is planning to ask. If folks are wondering why they're getting smart ass answers it's because folks are getting tired of answering the same questions over and over and over and over and over and over... I gotta admit I'm getting tired of reading them over and over and over and over and over. Another thing is if you found your way to SOCNet you found your way to SpecialOperations.Com most likely. Why not look through the info on what is easily the most comprehensive SOF site on the Net before asking the question? Hmm, this site is on the Net and that means to get here you've got to have an internet connection meaning you're sitting the most powerful research tool known to man. Try using it to find the answer on your own then if you can't find it then by all means ask, provided common sense prevails in regards as to whether or not it's a question that may violate OPSEC.
