This stuff about the Black Barets is pissing me off... Rangers go through hell and back to get that damn thing and now look what the Army is doing to one of the finest infantry units in the world. How about this.. "Wow that Congressional Metal of Honor looks great with my BDU's!" would they give those out like candy too?? Theres my pissed off rant for today...

FutureRanger, I suggest you read the thread about "new Army uniform policy" posted by future-Sailor.
BTW, are you or have you ever been a Soldier?
I am not a Ranger (or SF or Airborne) but I know they all started out as "legs". Before you can become an "elite" you first have to prove yourself as a "leg" Soldier. Until you have done that, you don't know what you're talking about.

Are you referring to BRT/MOS/AIT prior to going to Airborne/RIP/Pre-R/R School etc.?

Or are you saying that ALL Rangers are in Conventional Forces/Leg Units prior to going to the Regiment?

Even though I'm sure you're referring to the first option, you come across as referring to the 2nd ... which is wrong about 60% of the time. Don't hold me to the percentage, but most know what I mean.
