The different units of the military are made up of all walks of life people from who knows where in the US. They all come together and get thrown into a unit together and are expected to perform. Most of the guys I served with came from who knows where and did who knows what being a civy, but wearing the scroll brought us all together to be one of the best units in the military. The bond gave us satisfaction down deep knowing that our brethern will always be there for us, helping out whether on the battlefield or backs to the wall in some beer joint. I cannot beleive the sniping that goes on in this forum between people. Instead of being bonded together, people come in with the sole purpose to pick us apart. I remember when this forum first kicked off and I was in awe to be with fellow BTDT guys who knew their stuff, but now the forum has moved into a new direction of newbies slamming everyone, spewing at the mouth crap. Sure we are not a politically correct bunch of knuckle draggers, but we served (and some still serve) and got the job done. For those out there, read the creed, live the creed, and you to shall know what it is like to be in the arms of brethern. Even guys that never served in the rangers understand this, as their units share the same ideas and strengths. I could not have done my job without the help of truck drivers, cooks, supply, pilots, linguist, intel, scouts, recon, privates, and any other joe smoe that had a hand in helping us do our mission. We are all one, the lean, mean, green fighting machine.
