USMA RANGERs

I've heard that if you are a West Point grad you cannot attend RANGER school or serve in battalion. Is this true?, and Also how long can an officer expect to still be at the level where he leads his men from the front in battalion?

Someone is definitely pulling your leg. I personally had a P.L. in 3rd Batt. from West Point. Also, in Ranger school there were PLENTY of West Pointers as well as Citadel.

I had a Lt. from Westpoint that i can honestly say i would go to hell and back for. so yes you can serve in batt.
