Not too long ago it was made public who was on Al Quaeda's hit list. The list included The United States, Britain, Australia, and Norway. I know that 3 of these 4 were definately involved in the war in Iraq.

Was Norway a part of the invasion of Iraq? I ask because it seems like Al Quaeda has targeted those countries that went into Iraq. I never read about any Norweigan involvement but if anyone can educate me...

Nobody is perfect and even Al Quaeda can do mistakes.... :D They most likely meant Denmark which has been a member of the coalition of the willing. Norway did not participate in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Well that doesn't surprise me. Anybody that thinks plowing planes into buildings gets you to heaven to live with 70 virgins isn't the sharpest knife in the droor. A buddy of mine who's in the country going to school, who comes from Norway, was shocked when i told him that Norway was on their list. Thanks for the info.

Al Quadea has made it clear that they will attack ANY nation allied with the U.S., not just who was involved in Operation Iraqi freedom.
Norway is part of NATO, which makes that country a viable target.

Hell, those Goat Sniffing Yahoos in Al Quadea will go after anyone, whether they are allied with the U.S. or not. No one is excluded. Look what happened in Saudi, at the housing complex. They really shot themselves in the foot with that operation. Now Saudi's that where in support of A.Q. don't want anything to do with them. Becasue of the attack on their own soil.

There has been attacks on Norwegian embassies several places in Africa.

The Norwegian government said that maybe the reason was that we are housing several terrorists, (one prominent one is from Iraq and has strong ties to Al- Quida and OBL) or that Norway has had support missions in Afghanistan or Norway's strong ties with US.

yeah Norway sent Special Operation Forces, and F-16 to support in Afghanistan.. but did not help in Iraq, and were not part of the Coalition of the willing.

Norway had and still have special forces in Afghanistan... they actually played a very important role, observing enemy activities, pointing out targets aswell as offensive raids.
