Well, I just saw another stomach turning story on the local morning news. The details were a little sketchy, but I think I picked up on the names correctly. Evidently, a former Mayor's Secretary named Denise West allegedly stole all of the $8000 in a scholarship fund that was created for a local hero. That hero was Sgt. Dominick Pilla, from Vineland, NJ. He was an M-60 Machine Gunner with Bco, 3rd Bn, 75th Rgt. He was shot and killed in a Humvee coming to the rescue of Pvt. Todd Blackburn during the Battle of Mogadishu. He was awarded the Bronze Star with Valor Device. This brave man gave his life for a fellow Ranger, and now he is being dishonored by a 46 year old woman who was closely related to his family. I just thought I should let everyone here know about this abomination. The woman has been caught and is being charged with several crimes. We can only hope that she will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
