Okay guys, in the spirit of GOOD questions about the little things (you can get some great answers on life's little questions here from what I have read):
For this discussion, I decided to go to the heads of the class, and ask out of curiosity...
What is your favorite pinch?
For me its a nice fresh and moist pinch of Skoal Mint Long Cut.
If I get too many replies, Tom will just have to start DIPNET.
God Bless and Happy Holidays,
Mo

Ugggghhh, dip. That stuff is nasty. Nearly choked on it when I tried it. You should have seen the program that I did about the pro ball player who had most of his jaw and tongue removed b/c his chewing led to a nasty-assed cancer deciding to set up shop inside his mouth. Not pretty. That said, my best friend swears by the stuff. Baseball player, go figure. http://www.specialoperations.com/ubboard/smile.gif
Stick to the cigars, my friend. Not only a great tobacco source, but also unique, uh, "relationship aids". May have been the only good idea to come out of Senor Clinton's presidency for you guys. http://www.specialoperations.com/ubboard/wink.gif
Have a good one.
BTW, do they allow spitoons on AFSOC aircraft? http://www.specialoperations.com/ubboard/biggrin.gif

Copenhagen, definitely, the original. At the time we were in battalion most of us weren't too worried about cancer bro. We had more immediate concerns when it came to our mortality. (Griswold Range ring a bell Poly?)

Mar,
So far, I havent seen a spitoon on any SOC a/c. I'll put that in my next email to General Bailey though -- good idea! I have however mastered the fine art of maintaining safe and level flight while packing, pinching, placing and spitting a nice chew and somehow talking to approach control as well. Good to know the future is in experienced hands...
Watch that spitter on final though, its a bitch to land and dip at the same time.

Copenhagen, definately. Spitoons on AC, yes, they're called barf-bags. Griswold Range-give me clue. I do remember having to use Benning pilots once, instead of TF at Griswold, We're all in sneak and peek mode, NOD'd to the gills, and they hit the search light to land!

Gentlemen;
You're talking to a representative of the Promised Land of pinch! We very nearly didn't join the EC because of a controversy regarding the manufacture and distribution of tobacco products. The stuff is religion here! There are so many brands and different qualities you probably couldn't begin to imagine it! If you like and haven't been here, man, I feel sorry for you... http://www.specialoperations.com/ubboard/smile.gif
Have a good one!

COPE...when times are hard, other than that since I am an officer I spoil myself with Skoalpenhagen.
That is when you take your can of skoal and the lip to skoal wintergreen and place it on the cope can. Gives the COPE a minty flavor rather than that normal flavor or feces mixed with sweat and urine.

I still think that the best pinch I've ever had was by that big-titted secretary at the office Christmas party back in '96.
Sorry dudes, I don't go out for chew. Had to post this though --- ya left it wide open. Which, by the way, also describes that same secretary, same Christmas party.

Not to encourage the young'uns, but tobacco is a necessary evil in Ranger School. I took up dipping during it. I still remember that first dip of Copenhagen, during some outdoor patrolling class in Darby phase...and how shortly after, I just wished that I was dead so I wouldn't have to suffer the nausea, vomiting, and dizziness anymore.
