I Was just wondeirng about the aimpoint site in the rain. I havent been on a range with one while it was raining and just got to thinking about what would happen. I know that the site wouldnt break from the water but would the water on the glass render the site useless by blurring the red dot? can anyone confirm this?

If the shooter shoots with both eyes open using the Aimpoint, rain or dirty glass will not negatively affect the sight picture. You'll still see the dot on target.

The COMP M series aimpoints are submersible.

right. I was wondering if the rain blurs the dot enough to throw off the accuracy

Thank God for those iron sights, system redundancy... I didn't have an accuracy problem with a blurred dot on an AimPoint zeroed at 50 yards on an HK93.

When we went operational with the AimPoints, I kept 2 separate dope books on the same weapon, 1 for the iron sights, 1 for the red dot. Redundancy, attention to detail, pain in the ass...
