I visited the Pratt Museum at Ft. Campbell yesterday and noticed that they were building what looked like a display that would include something on the 160th. I would appreciate a heads-up whenever they get that balcony at the back section finished.
Also, I noticed the museum, post and town looked quite a bit brighter that it did about 18 months ago. On that day, for whatever reason, the place almost had a feel of an installation that was being drawn down. Now, there are all sorts of new construction, etc.. Anything particular change since then, or did I just hit it on a day everybody was hiding inside?

The NightStalker Association recently got involved in the display, so it should look very good in the near future.
I'm sure it was just a bad day, LOL. The museum is very well laid out and maintained, and as far as I know, it isn't going anywhere. I just wish they would shorten that damn movie!! I invited family, and that thing was WAY to long.

This might be a bit outside the topic...but the last time I was at the museum was in 97-98 time frame and I was puzzled that some of the aircraft that the museum had on display when they were in the "old" building(s) were not on display...I had asked someone about this and I was told, what I saw was pretty much all they had...this is pretty disconcerting as I remember the museum had such gems as the UTTAS fly off helos, a prototype AH-64, a T-37 in Army markings, the Enforcer variant of the P/F-51 and the list goes on...I know I am not dreaming as I have actuall photos in my collection of these aircraft and more...has anyone that has been to the museum recently or affilliated with the museum chime in on this?...even as a retired AF type I would still highly recommend the museum to all and can't wait to get back to see the 160th display!
Cheers

Does anyone know if they finished the new display yet? I'll be leaving in the morning and might stop in next week if I know it's done. Thanks.
