May I know what is the motto of the SOAR? Is it "Death waits in the dark" or "Night Stalkers don't quit"? Or something else? Thanks.

I think the "Death waits in the dark" is another motto for the SOAR? Is it a sub motto or what?

ouch jeff that was harsh.

It kills me too...... this whole SOAR motto. Their crest says "death waits in the dark"(that is f___ing cool). Their motto is NSDQ which I don't think is as cool as death waits in the dark. Its their motto but if it were me I would go with DWITD.

The ranger motto is "Rangers lead the way", but our slogan is Sua Sponte (of their own accord). I guess the two SOAR mottos are like that.

From my understanding the "crest" has "NightStalkers" on it, nothing more.

"Death Waits in The Dark" is more an "unofficial" thing.

Having left the service in 96', I seem to recall that this patch:

is only authorized for wear by SOAR personnel on ABDU and Flight suits in garrison and during training in CONUS but I may be wrong!

None of the above, it is however the logo on the front of the P.T. shirts. (Sharky showed me his, LOL)

You of course are right! But that image was the only example I could find on short notice (NSA - Night Stalker Association website). I recall seeing members of 1/160th wearing a subdued patch that looked exactly like that image I previously posted while I was in the service.
