SBS/Malaysian Army SF

According to the Malaysian Army,their SF unit,the GGK was formed with the help of the Royal Marine Commandos [UK].However I understand that it was really the SBS who initially helped in establishing GGK.

Has anyone got any further info on this matter ?

I don't know specifically who was involved, but SBS is a unit of the Royal Marines..... could be a matter of semantics, plausible deniability, etc.

the GGK was trained by the 40 Cdo RM. now they wear the same sky blue lanyard.

I am well aware of the official line but that
is not entirely true.I was told by some
GGK veterans and also read in a book on SBS
that it was the SBS who had helped in the
formation of the GGK.

Anyone out there have any info on this ?
