French Special Forces

Have any of you guys ever trained with the French? I'm just wondering because my friend's stepdad did the French commando course then a bunch of other stuff and then eventually was with the GIGN for a little while. Are they cocky? What are they like?

Being French, we can assume they are arrogant, overrated, oversexed, incompetent Eurocentric operators. Going by their number of successful operations we can also assume they have a fair grasp of what they are doing.

I met a few guys form the 2 REP over at Ft. Useless (Eustis) doing amphibious training a few years ago. The NCOs were pretty squared away, but some of the younger guys were arrogant as hell.
