Alright, being that this is the Unarmed/Hand-to-hand combat forum, it cannot be emphasized enough that this particular area and "physical training" go hand in hand. So, since SOCNET doesn't have a 1000 Push up club, and since I saw the idea on ArmyRanger.com, I think its time we started one.
So here are the rules:
ArmyRanger.com gave 8 hours to finish the 1000 push ups. But since SOCNET says it can do better, we'll make it three hours. You can do them in any order of set or rep, as long as they are PROPER push-ups. That means suck in the gut, down horizontally, belt should almost touch the floor and your biceps should be parallel to the ground, then all the way back up until your ELBOWS LOCK.
We're going by the honor system here. Post the date you did it, the time it took, and if possible the sets and reps you did it in; Also...for active or former military, so as to encourage friendly inter-service sportsmanship...please don't hesitate to post your branch or credentials. Thankyou ladies and gentlemen, and good luck to anyone that would like to participate.
Edit: Changed time from 8 to 3.
Disclaimer: I do not in anyway form or fashion represent or endorse ArmyRanger.com. It is not my intent to plagiarize in anyway, I simply found this idea perusing their boards, and thought it was neat. Once again, this concept was borrowed from ArmyRanger.com, and all credit belongs to their board. Thankyou.
