I note in the current SWCC Warning Order that the maximum age limit for beginning that course is set at 30. Have older guys --- particularly with prior SOF service --- had any difficulty getting in lately?
I'm planning to re-enlist for a reserve components SOF unit once I've landed a permanent law enforcement job (as it stands, I'll be working in Texas), and have been giving primary consideration to going after a SWCC billet through the Naval Reserve.
My current age is 36, and my current level of physical fitness is on par with what's normally considered "competitive" for getting into BUD/S as an "E" --- a bit short of "competitive" by "O" standards, but given that I'm 36, have a DVA of 20/200 (correctable to 20/12) bilaterally and am not planning to re-enlist for the active-duty component, BUD/S is out of the question in my case anyway.
