And if you want to hang out and play pool with the Hells Angels...get to El Nido. On the double!

Probably closed, I know for sure that the owners daughter, who opened a bar on Lighthouse called Manny's Place, closed. I was back in 2001. Had to settle for that British expat bar off Franklin near the wharf.

London Bridge Pub! They used to put a little brass plaque with your name up if you drank 100 beers in 100 days or something like that.....

Ahh to be young, and have way too much time on your hands.....

Is Doc Ricket's Lab still there?

Doc's is still around, but I think they moved. Used to be adjacent to Cannery Row.

I staggered up the hill back to the school many a night! It is the best duty station ever, hands down. In fact I am trying to get back there.

I did two trips through DLI (basic and intermediate Korean). It's a great place to goof off and just have a tremendous amount of fun. I got my motorcycle there, and rode all over Cali. I learned to surf, too. I wouldn't mind going back, myself.

I've thought of both. Unfortunately, as a Charlie, I haven't been able to break into the DLI Mafia.

I'm sure there is more to it than luck of the draw or an outstanding performance record.

Like when people would try to get into a speakeasy: "We don't let nobody in that nobody knows."

Political clout rearing its ugly head in the military. Who would have guessed it.

We only drink out of the spit bowls, I hate to see wine go to waste:D
