I finally got some extended trigger time behind a USP and have to say that I'm disappointed. The reset on the USP trigger is about a mile long. Maybe I just have to get used to it, but damn it was frustrating.
Anyway to tune the USP trigger?
Second, I noticed a lot more muzzle flip than I get from the Glock. In my opinion this is totally a result of poor engineering. The line of the barrel sits too high on the pistol resulting in a higher than normal pivot point and hence, more torque. (Think back to your high school physics if you don't know what I'm talking about). With the Glock the line of the barrel sits very low in relation to where the pistol is gripped, resulting in rearward recoil, rather than muzzle flip. I believe this to be a specific design feature of the Glock. Recoil management was an important design issue because of the light weight of the pistol. Somehow it appears that H&K didn't pay as much attention.
Any one care to comment?
