Gentlemen....sorry for the intrusion. I`m sure someone here remembers an accident from October of `86 that claimed the life of a CCT operator. I was in the exercise that this occured in, and had worked with him at least once in the past. I`m just curious if the cause was ever determined. If I`m asking anything out of line, I apologize up front.

This was out west in the states. It happened on a night jump. If memory serves me right, he was a veteran of Urgent Fury and once survived a CH-53 crash. I believe his first name was Jerry, but I could be mistaken.
I have no knowledge of the accident you are interested in. Sorry

T/Sgt. Jerome E. Bennett was killed in a parachute accident on October 27th 1986.

Yes, that`s him. I didn`t really know him, but the pics on the link you provided Vince show him as I remember....always smiling. Thanks.
