I am interested in learning to speak, read and write Persian Farsi. If anyone knows of a good system, I'd appreciate the help.

Make sure you read the threads, alot of the answers to your questions can be found there. It has saved me time before, and there is a wealth of knowledge in past threads. Rosetta Stone seems to be used by many, you can probably google their website. Good luck!

Rosseta Stone is great but unfortunatly they dont offer PF. I learned it a while back and every resource I found was nothing compared to haveing a teacher who spoke the language. Good luck man

Rosetta Stone now has Farsi (has for a few months now). They actually have a Level II as well, but has not been released yet.

Persian Farsi is redundant, by the way. That would be like trying to learn Spanish espaņol or German deutsch. :)

I found the best system for learning Farsi to be a petite 25-year old with a penchant for short skirts named Farimah. A low-cut top, open to reveal a little gold "Allah" necklace pendant resting comfortably between two well-tanned breasts - enough to make Mahmoud Ahmadinejad wet his pants. :p

Like I've said before...a long haired dictionary is the best thing to have.

Talk to cab drivers. You'd be amazed how much Farsi, Arabic and pashtu you can pick up in DC and NY. Strictly colliquial, of course, but it'll give you an idea of how it sounds to speak it.
