This may be the best piece I've ever read regarding combat sports, MMA and boxing specifically. It details the cold, hard realities of both sports. I think every fan of boxing/MMA should read this, so I felt compelled to share it with those on this forum.

Pretty good article.

MMA fans in general seem to be the worst fair weather fans in the world, and the worst in slamming them when it doesn't go their way. People should keep their mouths shut if they haven't done something themselves. The way people shittalk fighters online is disgusting.

I've never been a huge Tanner fan, but I respect his ability. I'm sure he'll be back.

I watched the fight from the third level and could see how mangled the mans face was from that distance. He wanted to keep going too, alot of heart.
