Trying to help a friend out.

Does anyone have a POC for companies that hires translaters. Right now have Dutch citizen fluent in English as well as Arabic looking for work in the Middle East. I have been unable to do him any good, as most of my contacts have rotated home.

If anybody has somewhere I can send this guy, please let me know.

L3 Communication Titan has a contract (along with some smaller subcontractors). PM me for a recruiter info.
Your friend has to have a single U.S citizenship (no dual citizenship) to qualify for a security clearance, or have a green card/I-94 to go without one.
I just did that interview process and came back yesterday.

edited for spelling.

All of our terps came from them, and they were treated well by the company.

Not REEP (aka "OSS").

PM me and I'll give you a POC. He's probably out of luck with L-3 Com (formerly Titan) if he's not a US citizen / resident. I know a firm that has (in the past) been able to use TCNs (other than 'local hires').

Every terp I've dealt with that worked for Titan had massive issues (mostly pay and equipment problems).

I will second this. My terp was not too happy with these guys and didn't have much positive things to say about them.

You might wanna try this website and contact them. I don't know if they can help you at all. These guys helped us on our work up before we went over there. I was trying to help my terp get a job over here and they seemed willing to help, but it seems my terp has fallen off the radar screen:confused:

Damn...I guess trash has changed in the year since Ive been back home. I didnt think things could changed that rapidly ( as far as support) but that must be me being naive about the civilian sector of the house....My bad..I was only reporting things I saw firsthand.

Mate

Is your mate just looking at been a translator or will he step up and be a shooter/operative. If he is willing, shoot me a PM or email with his resume and I will see what I can do. Always on the look out for operatives that can speak arabic that can help translate with our gunners etc.
