What type of info are you looking for. As far as I knew there were no "psd" slots in the civpol program. There are a few select details who are not doing the training thing, but no actual protective gigs. You are either civpol or WPPS. They are two seperate animals.

badandy,

Rgr your last. the goods I recieved from the recruiter stated that it was a PSD slot supporting the DOS CIVPOL Advisory Support Mission. I don't want to go into too much more detail than that. Any info appreciated.

Yes there are a select few in CIVPOL that get PSD coverage. It's not WPPS type but, it's similar. At least that's the way it is here in Afghanistan.

CIVPOL does have PSD Teams assigned to it. Its not WPPS. There are also a small number of PSD Teams made up of qualified police advisors.

Civpol mission/IPLO's, that have appropriate backgrounds, staff several movement teams. They do not do the IPLO mission work, but are IPLO's themselves. There is another side of the CIVPOL contract, staffing PSD teams. Personnel are former IPLO's with appropriate backgrounds, experience and training, and others are former military, etc..

PM me for further if you need additional.
